Christina McClung

Christina McClung is a nationally renowned recruiting and talent acquisition expert. In 2004, Christina joined Northwestern Mutual Financial Network as the Director of Recruitment and Selection. During her time at Northwestern Mutual, she has consistently exceeded recruiting expectations and was one of the leading recruiters in the nation in 2007 and 2008. Christina is now heading the effort across the nation for Center of Influence Development and consults with recruiters monthly. Christina is a member of the Northwestern Mutual Recruiting Field Committee. 

Prior to joining Northwestern Mutual, Christina was the Director of Human Resources at Cintas. During her tenure, the company reduced turnover 53% by creating a strong team approach and hiring and retaining exceptional employees. Christina not only focuses on growing her company, but takes pride in developing other community-minded organizations. YRichmond is an organization focused on showcasing Richmond to young professionals through career development and social activities. As one of its founding committee members, Christina helped raise participation for this program that has increased to over 400 participants from 22 companies. This successful program is now beginning its third year and is an integral part of the recruiting process to bring the nation’s brightest and most talented college graduates to Richmond. 

Christina’s dedication to young energy-changing communities goes back to her time in college. While a student at Virginia Tech, her biggest accomplishment was taking her dream of serving the local community and implementing a service day, called the Big Event. Now in its seventh year, the Big Event is the region’s largest student-led day of service. Each spring, thousands come together to lend a hand to the residents in need around Blacksburg and the surrounding community. To learn more about The Big Event click here

Christina is an active Ambassador for the Greater Richmond Chamber, the President-Elect of the Western Henrico Rotary Club, and a volunteer with the Richmond Ballet. Christina is married to Aaron McClung, a private equity investor. The couple resides in Midlothian, VA.

Shaina Miesnik (episodes 2-4)
Shaina Miesnik and her husband James Miesnik founded For Keeps Sake Designs, based in Richmond, Virginia, following the unexpected loss of their four month old son, Ethan, to SIDS. Their mission is to donate a percentage of all sales to help fund SIDS research and education, provide parents and women with awesome keepsakes and gifts, promote local artisans, and bring something unique to Richmond. Everything they make is inspired by her family. Sass Knucklz for Sassy Girls, Hug Popz for ice pop loving cuties, Cake Wreathz for party animals, and an entire business dedicated to Angel Baby. And the list is continuing to grow! Come by and see her new boutique on Cary Street coming this July.
